Former bank, now disused. c1900, with late C20 alterations.
Ashlar and brick, with granite plinth and slate mansard roof.
2 gable and single ridge stacks, with shaped double cornices.
Renaissance Revival style.
Plinth, ground-floor cornice, first-floor sill band, main
cornice, ramped coped parapet supported by volutes. First
floor has bays defined by paired, fluted Ionic pilasters.
Ground-floor bays are defined by rusticated quoins. 2 storeys
plus attics; 2 x 2 windows, with angled corner.
On the first floor, 5 wooden mullioned cross casements with
glazing bar top lights and moulded rusticated surrounds with
scroll keystones. Attic has 5 large dormers with flanking
Ionic pilasters, open pediments containing cartouches, and
2-light casements with round heads and scroll keystones.
Ground floor has elliptical-arched doorway with triple scroll
keystones and panelled flanking pilasters. Above it, a round
window with scroll keystone set in a strapwork panel and
flanked by fluted scroll brackets carrying a cornice with
mutules. On either side, 2 elliptical-arched single-pane
windows with toplights and triple scroll keystones linked by a
curved band. Between the windows, a strapwork cartouche.
