Town house. Mid C19 (post 1847); altered. Red brick in Flemish
bond, with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth
single-fronted plan with a back extension. Three storeys over
basement, 2 bays; stone plinth, moulded 1st floor sill-band,
plain frieze and moulded cornice. The doorway to the right (up
3 steps) has a doorcase of engaged Ionic columns with
entablature and cornice, hollow-moulded jambs, and a 6-panel
door with plain overlight; a lobby door at the left end has
raised plain surround and board door; and in the centre is a
2-storey canted bay with a cellar window in the plinth,
moulded cornices to both floors, altered glazing, and small
wrought-iron ornamental railings on the top; otherwise, there
is one window above the door and 2 at 2nd floor, all with
raised sills and wedge lintels, and altered glazing. Gable
chimneys. INTERIOR not inspected, but cellar connects by
tunnel under road to garden opposite, which has spear railings
with urn finials.
