Small town house. c.1830, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond,
with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth
single-fronted plan, with back extension. Two storeys over
cellar, 2 bays, with plain frieze and moulded gutter cornice.
The doorway, to the left, up 3 steps with nosings, is
round-headed with gauged brick voussoirs, set-in Tuscan
quarter-columns, 4-panel door and semi-circular fanlight with
altered glazing. One window at ground floor and 2 above, all
unhorned sashes without glazing bars, with raised sills and
wedge lintels; cellar window (casement with glazing bars),
with wedge lintel and protected by grating. Rear and INTERIOR
not inspected. Part of formerly complete set of late Georgian
lower-middle class houses in this street (laid out in Great
Avenham Field, advertised for sale as building plots in 1825).
