Row of 3 small town houses. c.1840, altered. Red brick in
Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate roof.
Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted and with
individual back extension. Two storeys over cellars, 2+2+2
windows, with plain frieze and moulded gutter cornice. Each
has the doorway to the left, that to No.7 damaged at time of
survey (1989) but the others each with a doorcase of engaged
Tuscan columns with plain frieze and moulded cornice, and
plain overlight; one window at ground floor and 2 above, all
with raised sills and wedge lintels, and mostly sashed (12
panes over door of No.5, otherwise without glazing bars),
except at No.7 which has altered glazing. Rear and INTERIOR
not inspected. Forms group with No.3 to left (q.v.) and No.8
to right (q.v.).
