Terrace of 4 attached houses. Early/mid C19. Red brick in
Flemish bond with stucco dressings, roofed with slate. Terrace
facing approximately NW, on gradient, Nos 1 & 3 at the same
level, Nos 5 & 7 at a higher level. 2 internal stacks at each
end, and 2 more at each party wall. C19 and C20 extensions to
rear. 2 storeys. Each house has on the ground floor an
original large sash, at or near ground level, of 6+6 lights
with a stucco surround and moulded cornice, and on the first
floor 2 original sashes of 6+3 lights with a roll-moulded
stucco surround and projecting key. All the doors are of 4
moulded panels, Nos 1, 3 & 5 having the upper panels glazed,
with fanlights and simple geometric tracery, recessed within
moulded stucco architraves and semicircular arches. Nos 1 & 5
each have 2 stone steps, Nos 3 & 7 each have one stone step,
all with stone paving within the recessed porches. Hipped
roofs of shallow pitch with wide overhanging eaves. The front
elevations are exceptionally intact and original.
