Farmhouse. Early C17 with early C19 alterations. Brick with
pantiled roof. Original house plan obscured by early C19
crenellated screen facade through 2 storeys in 4 wide bays.
Timber Greek Doric doorcase in third bay (from left) with a
pair of engaged fluted columns under plain entablature and
hood. Fenestration of mid C19 horned sashes with glazing bars
and gauged skewback arches. Gabled roof of original house
emerges above, with internal C19 gable-end stacks. Right and
left are hipped, lower, balanced extensions of one bay each,
fronted by the screen. Rear with a full length C19 glazed
conservatory outshut. Two C19 three-light casements to first
floor. Stepped gables.
INTERIOR. Sunk-quadrant moulded bridging beam in ground-floor
central room. Early C19 stick baluster staircase with ramped
and wreathed handrail.
