Pair of terraced houses. Probably early C18 structure with
later alterations. Render, scored to appear as ashlar with
slate roofs having coved eaves cornices and dormers. 3 storeys
1 window. No.1 - C20 door with narrow overlight. 4-pane horned
sash to ground floor; 1st floor, 3-light C20 windows; 2nd
floor 3-light 2-pane windows. All windows with external quasi
shutters. No.2 - C20 door with narrow overlight. 4-pane horned
sash with exposed frame to ground floor; 1st floor, similar
paired sashes; 2nd floor, a 3-light horizontally sliding sash.
These houses are a prominent and important feature of the
harbour. Nos 1 & 2 with Royal Britannia Hotel and Nos 8-12
(consec) Broad Street form a group.
