1353-0/3/91 Lower Rill Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17 altered in C18 and with porch added with
datestone 1704 and the initials R Y N. Built of stone rubble
with ashlar end quoins and red brick dressings. Renewed modern
tiled roof, hipped at one end, gabled the other and modern
brick chimneystack on ridge line with C17 core. Lobby entrance
house of 2 storeys 4 windows. Irregular fenestration. 3 modern
3 light dormers. Rest are C19 casements in C18 brick
surrounds. Off central gabled porch with datestone. Right side
elevation has 1 1st floor blocked mullioned window with C18
brickwork and small square stone mullion window similarly
blocked to attic. Rear elevation has blocked mullioned windows
and doorcase. Interior has C17 spine beam with 4 inch chamfers
and blocked-in open fireplaces.
