Lyme Tree Farmhouse
II


Farmhouse, Mid-C18. Coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, quoins
to west end, rebuilt west end ridge stack and a stone slated roof. Two storeys, three
bays, symmetrical elevation, formerly with 2-light flush mullioned windows throughout,
but now with C19 sashes to west end, the ground floor window having glazing bars.
C20 casements elsewhere. Central doorway with massive stone surround and lintel
with shallow flat hood on moulded stone brackets. The two storey former barn at
the east end has been converted into a dwelling, and is not considered to be
listable.
