Former pair of late C18-houses to High Street with a second storey added in the mid-C19, and former late-C19 houses to New Orchard, now commercial premises.

MATERIALS: constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond with a brick gable-end stack. The roof is covered in plain clay tiles.

PLAN: an L-shaped plan comprising pair of former houses of double-depth plan to the High Street and a north-west range to the rear which was formerly houses.  

EXTERIOR: the High Street elevation is of three storeys and is a six-window range. The left-hand bay has an arched doorway with fanlight to the ground floor, and is blind to the upper storeys. 50 High Street has a late-C19 shop front with consoles to a fascia with moulded square blocks and cornice, and outer doorways to a five-light plate-glass window. The late-C19 corner shop front to 52 High Street has thin mullions, consoles, and fascia with a splayed corner doorway overhung by the first floor. The former eaves cornice to the first floor now functions as a string course, whilst the mid-C19 second-floor addition has a serrated brick and moulded eaves cornice. The windows to the first and second floor are two-over-two sash windows, with six-over-six sash windows to the right-hand two bays of the first floor. All are beneath rubbed brick flat arches. The gable return to New Orchard has a single window at first and second floors to the far right (north). A trace of the former, lower gable can be seen in the return. 

The north-west range onto New Orchard (1, 3, and 5) is of three storeys and is a four-window range. Late-C19 shopfronts flank either side of a blocked former archway. The windows are six-over-six sashes, except for a narrow four-over-four sash window above the former arch and a two-over-two sash window to the right. 5 New Orchard has a late-C19 shop front with a blind brick elevation above. The north-west elevation is of two bays with six-over-six sash windows.
