House. Late C18, remodelled late C19. Rendered brick with
brick details and stone dressings, English garden wall bond
front wall, brick ridge and left-hand gable stacks and tiled
roof, hipped to the right. Single-depth 3-room plan with
left-hand extension.
2 storeys and attic; 3:1-window range. Brick eaves cornice,
entrance has side lights and fanlight, and is connected to the
gateway by a conservatory; windows with C19 labels and quoins
to recessed sashes, a right-hand ground-floor tripartite
window has 6/6-pane and flanking 4/4-pane sashes, 3/6-pane
first-floor sashes, the extension has a label to a
segmental-arched ground-floor 3/6-pane sash, and plain
surround to a first-floor 3/6-pane sash. 3 hipped dormers have
3/3-pane sashes and decorative ridge tiles. The extension has
a 2-window left-hand return. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: a good late C18 brick front gateway has a
pair of pilasters to a dentil cornice, matching dentil coping,
and central raised section with a further coping, and a rubbed
brick flat arch to a C19 six-panel door. The wall is ramped
down each side from the cornice level with a dentilled moulded
coping, and extends approx 20m N and S. It connects to the
front entrance by a covered way.
