Probably built by Sir John Duckworth, who bought the property in 1804. Stucco
mansion with 3 storey, 7 window centre block and 2 storey, 2 window side wings.
Front has Doric portico with driveway under, and garden front has 3-bay Ionic portico.
Brick stable court with weatherboarded clock tower and octagonal cupola. Interior:
fine double stone staircase with iron balustrade. Doric order to Entrance Hall,
now divided by glazed screen.
