Probably built by Sir John Duckworth, who bought the property in 1804. Stucco mansion with three storey, seven window centre block and two storey, two window side wings. Front has Doric portico with driveway under, and garden front has three-bay Ionic portico. Brick stable court with weatherboarded clock tower and octagonal cupola.

Interior: fine double stone staircase with iron balustrade. Doric order to Entrance Hall, now divided by glazed screen.
