Barn about 20 yards north-
west of Lower Newton
Farmhouse

Barn and cow house. Early C18. Thin coursed rubble, corrugated iron roof.
Aligned north-west/south-east. Three bays with loft over cow house at east
end. Main feature is the east gable end with the usual 3 byre doors with
timber lintols and stone slate hoods, range of slit vents in centre.
Interior: central threshing floor. Raking struts from ties to principals,
3 rows of purlins. Partially masked by later and C20 accretions (not included).
