House, now club. Late C18-early C19. Flemish bond brickwork
with a pantile mansard roof and hipped rear gables.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range.
Parapeted front has a right-hand round-arched doorway with
radial fanlight and steps up to a 6-panel door, and a good bow
window with reeded dentil cornice, plain frieze and
architraves, and reeded pilasters with patera at top. Gauged
brick segmental arches to first-floor 6/6-pane sashes, 2
hipped dormers with late C20 casements, and louvred basement
opening. Rear has 2 short 3-storey wings with half-hipped
gables. INTERIOR extensively altered and connected with Nos 10
& 11 (qv).
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached iron area railings with spear
heads and orb finials.
Part of a single club with Nos 7 & 11 (qv).
