One building, now 2 shops. A timber-framed building with plastered front and
1st floor still partly overhanging but with modern alterations. 3 storeys.
Tiled roof and heavy wooden modillion eaves cornice. The lst and 2nd floors
have 3 panels of pargetting, dated 1680 incorporating oval medallions, pilasters,
swags and floral vase motifs, Cornice between the 1st and 2nd floors. 1 sash
window to no 55 with glazing bars intact to 2nd floor only. No 57 has a modern
window on the 2nd floor only. Modern shopfronts.

Nos 53, 55, 55A and 57 form a group.
