Washhouse or possible peat coat. Early C18. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate single pitched roof. Two storeys. Five-light chamfered mullioned window altered to three lights with old glazing and sash. Over is window with chamfered surround. Doorway with tie-stones. Right hand return wall has first floor door entry with raised jambs approached up flight of stone steps. Interior has four large flat arched openings with projecting shelf possibly fireplaces (no flues).
