Grove House is back to back with Oakroyd attached with archway between to Grove
Cottage in a continuous rang with the Grove Inn (q.v.). Early C19. Hammer
dressed stone, stone slate roof. 3 storeys. Grove House has 3-bay symmetrical
facade with rusticated quoins, doorway with monolithic jambs and cyma moulded
cornice. Each bay has sashed windows with plain stone surrounds with slightly
projecting sills. To right is semi-circular arched cart entry leading to rear
the voussoirs engraved "GROVE BREWERY". To right is doorway with projecting
hood on consoles and window with cornice. 2 bays of sashed windows. Those
to 2nd floor retain 16-pane glazed sashes.
