The south-east corner of the building is probably timber-framed with a gable
in the centre and at the ends, now tile hung. The centre of the north front
is early C19. 3 storeys. 3 windows. Faced with roughcast. Eaves cornice.
Slate roof. The centre window is flanked by 2 narrow chimney breasts. Glazing
bars intact. The 1st floor windows have dripstones over. Doorway with moulded
pilasters and semi-circular fanlight. Verandah with trellised wooden columns.
Modern additions to the east and west of this portion of the building. Madamede
Broglie stayed here after her escape from France in 1792 (in the cottage
behind).
