Mill house. Late C18, early and late C19. Coursed rubble with
slate roof. Ashlar dressings, first floor band, moulded eaves,
single stepped coped gable. 3 gable and 2 ridge stacks. 3 and 2
storeys, 8 unequal bays. 2 parallel ranges. Windows are mainly
glazing bar sashes. Late C18, 3 bay house has to right, early
C19 2 storey addition. South front has to left, late C19 2
storey canted bay window with 3 plain sashes on each floor. To
its right, door, and beyond, door flanked by single large sashes.
Above, 3 sashes and to right, large double sash. Above again, 5
smaller sashes. West gable has above, a sash and blank panel
with ogee head. Above again, a plain sash. East gable has,
above, blocked casement and C20 casement. Above again, 2
casements, that to right blocked. Rear has door flanked by 2
sashes, altered and boarded up. Above, 3 sashes, and a plain sash
to right. Above again, 4 smaller sashes. To west, square yard
wall and 2 storey larder with window to south and door to east.
Adjoining outbuildings, to east, have slate and asbestos sheet
roofs. To left, C20 lean-to wooden outbuilding covering door
flanked by single square casements. Above, 2 casements, one
blocked. To right, 2 carriage openings with segmental heads.
Beyond, sliding door and blocked door and casement. South end
has blocked openings. Rear has to left, 3 blocked carriage
openings. These buildings have been reduced in height and re-
roofed mid C20.
