Late C18 front to earlier house of which high gabled roof is visible from side elevation
(rear end wall of this part rebuilt). Red brick facade of some distinction with
3 storeys divided by plain friezes and moulded cornices in stone. High plinth,
rusticated quoins. 3 windows, sashes in moulded stone architraves. Modern ground
floor. Interior has fine late C17 staircase, several contemporary fireplaces and
some panelling.

No 4, Nos 6 and 8 (The George Hotel) Nos 10 and 12 form a group with No 5, Nos 9
to 21 (odd), Nos 11A, Coach House at No 19 and No 1 Wilton Place.
