Hillside, Orchard Cottage and adjoining outbuilding

2 adjoining houses and an outbuilding. C18 or earlier. Colourwashed rendered cob;
roof thatched at left (Hillside), tiled to right (Orchard Cottage) which is gabled at
the right end and tiled to the outbuilding adjoining at the right end; 1 stack to
rear of ridge and 2 rear lateral stacks, 1 with a brick 1 with a rendered shaft.
Plan: Interior not inspected at time of survey: plan form thus unclear.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 plus 2 window front with front doors to the right of each
house. 2 and 3-light casement windows with square leaded panes, probably C18 except
those on either side of the front door to Hillside which are C20 replacements.
Single storey outbuilding adjoining at right end is partly weatherboarded and has a
probably C18 plank door to the left. The thatch of Hillside is carried over a cart
entrance between this range and No 3 Bullen St (q.v.).
