Cottage. Late C16 or early C17, mentioned in Parish Register for 1629, refronted and extended
to SW in early C19 and refenestrated and with porch of c1940. Timberframed building, refronted
in tile-hanging, except for NE front which is stretcher bond brickwork. Tiled roof with end brick
chimneystacks. Two storeys, 2 windows. Windows are casements with leaded lights of c1940,
including 2-storey bay to SW front. Porch to NW of c1940 but SE front has an original external
plank door. Interior ground floor has exposed axial beam with 2 inch chamfer with lamb's tongue
stops, wall frame with midrail and some plan k doors. First floor has exposed frame with tie beam,
midrail and diagonal braces. Old floorboards. Roof has pegged rafters.
