House. Front early C18, refronted in early to mid C19 with early C17 L wing to rear.
Front part is rendered with tile hung first floor to street front only and hipped
tiled roof with end rendered and brick stacks. 2 storeys 2 windows; 12-pane
sashes with horns to upper windows. Side elevation has C20 casements and C18
doorcase with flat wooden hood on brackets and panelled door, the top 2 panels
glazed. The rear elevation is of painted brick and has C18 12-pane sash with
cambered head and top opening casement. The early C17 rear wing is rendered with
tile roof and large external chimneystack to rear. 2 storeys and attics and
cellar. End elevation has C18 sash to first floor and casement to attic and the
ground floor is obscured by a single storey Victorian brick building. Internally
the early C18 front part has a timber cornice with triglyphs. The early C17 wing
has exposed ceiling beams and probable early C17 3 plank door. The store room in
the attic has a timber barred internal light and timber stock lock. Attic doors
have strap hinges probably of early C17 date. External stack probably conceals
substantial open fireplace.
