C1910 warehouse block complementing the riverside Gun Wharves block on opposite
side of road and thus forming one of the rare surviving 'canyons' in dockland.
Similar but slightly later build. Seven storeys stock brick with compo stone
architectural trim. Front to High Street bends to centre with road line. Eight bays
with windows and hatch ranks set in full height panels rising from Engineering brick
trimmed plinth and with stepped brick heads, creating pilaster strip effect. Flush
plat bands to fifth and seventh floors. Moulded cornice and parapet. Two-light
mullioned windows with lintels. Hatch ranks have white nosing brick trim to reveals.
Short section of panelled parapet pierced by lunette rather as bellcot. Western
hatch rank has lattice curved jib crane pivot mounted to top floor with detached,
curved operating box. East section elevation similar with 9 bays, 2 straight jib
