canalside at junction with

Industrial building, perhaps textile factory. Mid C19,
altered. Coursed rock-faced sandstone, corrugated sheet roof.
Rectangular plan parallel to canal which bounds it on the east
side. 4 storeys over basement, 6 windows at 2nd floor (1st
floor interrupted at right-hand end by rebuilt wagon entrance,
etc.); windows with raised sills and C20 glazing. Eaves sloped
down from left to right. Rear (overlooking canal) has 6 small
windows on each floor. INTERIOR not inspected.
Forms group with warehouse at junction with Manchester Road
(qv), and is included for group value.
