Pair of cottages forming part of row (formerly a handloom
weavers' colony); now all one dwelling. Late C18 or early C19;
altered. Coursed squared sandstone with quoins (now cleaned),
stone slate roof. Double-depth plan, each cottage
single-fronted.
2 storeys, 2+2 windows; doorways in the centre now covered by
large C20 gabled porch; one 3-light mullioned window each at
ground floor, with square-cut flush mullions, and 2
vertical-rectangular windows above, all these windows with
plain surrounds and C20 glazing. Gable chimney to left,
cut-down ridge chimney in centre.
