Shop. 1911. By H Thompson of Blackpool; altered. Sandstone
ashlar, slate mansard roof. Edwardian Baroque style.
Structurally continuous with No.18 (Yates Wine Lodge) to the
right (qv), constituting one rectangular bay at right-angles
to the street.
2 storeys plus attic, one bay; the ground floor altered and
the upper floor, treated as a semicircular open pediment with
ball-finial terminals, containing a large Venetian window
which has an architrave with a crested cornice on consoles.
The roof has a flat-topped 3-light dormer, and a coped gable
to the right with a tall corniced chimney.
INTERIOR not inspected.
HISTORY: with No.18 (formerly known as the Boot Inn), part of
this architect's scheme for replacing former farm buildings on
this site. Included for group value.
