Chancel of the chapel of the former leper hospital of St Mary Magdalene, now a disused chapel. Mid C12, altered in late C13; in 1861 the nave demolished and its south doorway reset in the infilled chancel arch, now the west wall of the chapel. Ashlar and squared rubble, tile roof. A small, end-gabled block.

EXTERIOR: the west wall with substantial lateral buttresses; the reset C12 semicircular arched doorway of two orders, the jambs with chamfered bases and chamfered imposts, the inner order of the arch of square section and the outer order decorated with a facing chevron moulding; in the north wall two blocked C13 lancet windows; in the east wall a C13 window with intersecting tracery.

INTERIOR: not inspected, but believed to have set in the floor the recumbent effigy of a lady, c1290. See also St Margaret's Chapel (qv).
