Fountain, part of a public park design. Late C19. Cast iron. Low stem composed of 4 engaged columns rising from a moulded base, and supporting shallow bowl, the rim of which is decorated with floral motifs. Rising from the rim are 4 slender curved stems which combine at their heads to form a delicate canopy overthrow and which itself supports a decorative finial. The base and the bowl bear a diamond-shaped relief foundry markĀ for Walter Macfarlane, Glasgow, Saracen Foundry.
