Offices. 1908. By RS Cockrill. Red brick with buff faience
cladding. Slate and felt roof. Arts and Crafts style. 3
storeys; 2-window range. Ground floor has central door flanked
by 2 bays of plate-glass windows. The upper halves of these
windows have projecting glazing bars forming a cone. Narrow
side bays to right and left with secondary entrances to
offices through bronze doors. Vigorous foliage carving to the
moulded faience panels. The first floor has 2 wide bay windows
each on 3 segmental brackets, also with foliate moulding. The
fenestration of the bays of two 2-light casements either side
of a fixed window. Attic storey of a continuous range of
single-light leaded casements under 5 gablets. Outer and
centre gablets with moulded foliage carving. Sloping front
roof, flat to rear.
INTERIOR: staircase with square newel posts and stick
balusters. Otherwise plain.
