Vestry hall and caretaker's house, and attached boundary wall
and gateways. c1880, with C20 alterations. Coursed rubble with
ashlar dressings and steep pitched slate roofs with 2
truncated ridge stacks. Tudor Revival style. T-plan.
EXTERIOR: plinth, moulded string course, coped gables. 2
storeys plus basement; 4 window range.
Hall, set crosswise to left, has facing gable with a
triangular headed 4-light window, flanked by pairs of lancets,
all with stone mullions and transoms. Left return has to right
a 3-light window, and to left, a square projection covering a
doorway.
House range, to right, has a central shouldered shaped gable
with a slit ventilator and a 3-light cross casement, flanked
to right by a similar window and to left by a 4-light window.
These windows have wooden mullions. Central triangular arched
door with label mould, flanked by single cross casements. To
left, an early C20 square stone bay window with hipped roof
and 3-light mullioned window. To right, C19 canted stone bay
window with a 2-light mullioned window.
Right return gable has a single light casement flanked by
3-light mullioned casements, and above again, a single window.
Basement has a Tudor arched door flanked by 3-light casements
with wooden mullions.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Attached stone boundary wall has stepped chamfered ashlar
coping topped with renewed railing. 2 pairs of chamfered
square stone gate piers with billeted square caps and renewed
gates.
