House now subdivided. Point Hill South is an C18 cottage altered c1886 by the Architect Sir
Reginald Blomfield for his own occupation at which time new additions, Point Hill, were
made. An asymmetrical building making full use of the sloping site. Point Hill South is mainly
rendered, but 1st floor on south east elevation is weather boarded. Tiled roof with brick
chimneystack and gable end weather boarded. 3 casement windows and ground floor has large
late C20 windows inserted into original loggia. To south east stuccoed one storey addition with
tiled roof, 12-pane sash and 4 panelled door. To rear weatherboarded extension with slate roof
on brick plinth. Point Hill has main entrance to north west, 1 storey painted brick with hipped
tiled roof and adjoining portico on Tuscan columns. South west front has 3 storey look-out
tower, tile hung to upper floors with triple casement on 3 sides, single casements below and,
to right large gable, tile hung with triple windows on each floor and wooden balustrading
above.
