C17 and earlier restored farmhouse.
West elevation. Brick and tile hung with tile roof with one end half hipped and ridge stack. Painted wooden casements and C18 half glazed panelled door with projecting hood over.
North elevation (circa 1620). Two storeys and attic gable end window. Stone plinth of random courses with modern ashlar buttressing. Exposed framing and vertical half timbering with plaster infilling.

Ground floor. Projecting lattice window with oak transom and frame supported on centre carved wooden bracket. Two small lattice lights on either side. First floor. Oversailing with moulded cross piece and supported on corner bracket with carved pendants. Projecting lattice window in oak frame with transom supported on centre carved wooden bracket. Two small lattice windows on either side. Attic gable end. Oversailing and supported on moulded crosspiece and projecting casement below and corner brackets with pendants, projecting attic lattice window in box frame with transom. Tile hanging above. At side. Lean-to with exposed vertical half timbering and tile roof.

At back. Projecting timber framed wings with some plaster and some brick filling. Inside evidence of medieval small hall house, of two bays. Roof with collar beams but no purlins, and smoke blackened timbers. Traces of open hearth on floor below. Small early C16 extension. Two fragments of wall paintings in bedroom, interlaced strapwork with floral designs. Much exposed timber, long profile posts and heavy ties, old floors and staircase. Chamfered brick inglenook.

Bassetts Farmhouse and Barn form a group.
