No 21 (western portion) & No 23 (formerly listed as No 23)

Later C18. Large, stone-house. 3 storeys. Main (rear) elevation 7 windows
to centre plus 2 more each end. Central doorway with pair of engaged Doric
columns and pediment. Slightly enriched window over. Modillion eaves-cornice
to hipped stone roof. Long single-storeyed wing of red brick and stone projects
southwards from west end of this front. Venetian windows and 2 doorways etc.
Parapets. Centre replaced by greenhouse. Blind rear. Rougher partly altered
elevation to road with projecting 2 window x 2 window wings with Venetian opening
to ground floor. Central doorway of similar form. 2-storeyed addition to
east (part of No 21) and 3-storeyed addition to west (No 25) not of interest.
Interior retains large staircase hall of some interest with decoration to ceiling
main doorcase etc. Other rooms not fully inspected but some slight decoration
remains.
