Cottage. Probably late C17 or early C18. Roughcast rendered stone rubble and cob.
Half-hipped thatch roof. Tall unrendered rear lateral stone rubble stack with
tapered cap.
Plan: 2 room plan, with direct entry into larger heated room to right (lower) end
and narrow unheated room to left with staircase at rear. Leanto former stables at
left end taken into form part of dwelling.
2 storeys. 3-window range. C20 fenestration, all 2 light casements, 2 panes per
light. Left-hand ground floor window inserted in blocked doorway. C20 gabled slate
porch roof.
Interior: rough cross ceiling beam to right-hand room. Solid wall partition between
the rooms. Evidence of blocked doorway at right end. C20 fireplace probably
conceals earlier oven. Roof not inspected. No rear outshuts, except for small
covered pump-house to rear right end with lead pump.
