Early C19 recasing of C17 former coaching inn, Mentioned in 1669 History of Scarborough.
2 storeys painted brick, stone rubble footings to Columbus Ravine, Steep pitch
gable end slate roof, 2 flat roofed dormers, carved eaves board, 3 windows symmetrical,
recessed sashes, glazing bars intact, flat stucco arches. Early Victorian pedimented
porch with marginal glazed semi-circular fanlight to tympanum, open scrolled ironwork
to sides. 6 panel door, architrave ease. Interior altered, beams have been boxed.

Peasholm House forms a group with Nos 2 and 3 Peasholm Cottages, Columbus
Ravine.
