Terrace of three cottages. Circa late C18, with C20 additions at rear. Coursed limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Brick gable-end and axial stacks. PLAN: Terrace of three small cottages, each with a heated front room and an unheated service room at the back. No.4 [left] and Gosling Cottage [centre] have direct entry through doorways at the front and Hathaway Cottage [right] has a doorway at the side into the back room. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 3-window west front. Hathaway Cottage [right] has 2-light casements with glazing bars; to left and centre, No.4 and Gosling Cottage, C20 2-light casements; doorways to left and right of centre with plank doors, the right with C20 wooden porch. At rear [east], small C20 single-storey extensions to right with flat roofs. INTERIOR: Exposed joists in Gosling Cottage and Hathaway Cottage and tie-beam exposed in Gosling Cottage.
