Two Cemetery Chapels

(Formerly listed as 2 Cemetery Chapels, AUSTIN ROAD)

Probably c1855. Coursed lias stone with dressed quoins and dressings, and chamfered plinth. Tiled roof with coped verges and cross saddlestonese Geometric tracery to windows. Large one on gable end and a small one with gable over on each side, lighting east ends. Clinker-type plank doors with label moulds, to south west in each case. Interior of south chapel (Church of England) has scissor-brace roof with corbelled 'chancel' arch.
