Farmhouse. Early C17. Coursed squared rubble with C20 pantile
roof. Ashlar dressings. 2 gable and single ridge stacks, one
external. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Single range with rear lean-to
addition and catslide roof. Windows are mullioned casements with
chamfered reveals. Those to ground floor front have hood
moulds. South front has central door with heavy lintel and hood
mould. Flanked by 2 casements. Beyond, to right, adjoining
cartshed with a doorway. Above, central framed blank panel
flanked by 2 casements. Rear elevation has to left, cartshed
with brick pier. To its right, a Yorkshire sash and a door.
Beyond, 2 mullioned casements. Beyond again, lean-to addition
with slate roof and a pair of garage doors. Above, to left, tiny
casement. To right, a Yorkshire sash. West end has 2 doors.
Interior has cased jowled bay post, 3 span beams with ogee stops,
chamfered span beam and fireplace bressummer. Winder stair with
square newel and stick balusters. Plain winder stair. 2 stud
partitions. Panelled dado in entrance hall. 9 plank doors and 2
C18 panelled doors. Early C19 hob grate and C19 register grate.
