A terrace of mid C19 white brick houses built as office and housing accommodation
for the Ipswich Water Company. 2 storeys. The ground storey has channelled rustication
and the upper storey has brick pilasters with stucco caps and bases between the
windows and at the ends. 14 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars,
in plain reveals, with stucco cornice lintels and console brackets. The doors are
mainly 6-panel with fanlights and stucco lintels on console brackets. No 25 has
a stucco doorcase with panelled reveals, pilasters and cornice. No 17 has a carriageway
which gives access to the former water works situated at the rear of the terrace.
