A timber-framed and plastered building probably of C16 origin, altered in the C18
and later. 2 storeys. The upper storey is jettied on the whole front. 3 window
range, double-hung sashes without glazing bars. The ground storey has a C20 shop
front. The south part breaks forward slightly and the roof rises to a higher pitch.
Roofs tiled (old tiles to No 31), and a flat headed dormer south part. The interior
has good original ceilings on the ground and upper storeys ornamented with Tudor
roses and fleur-de-lys.
