Block of offices and shops between Great Castle Street and Margaret Street. c.1915 by C.T. Armstrong, completed c.1920 by W.J. Fryer. Portland ashlar facing, slate roof. Sub Beaux Arts. Four storeys, attic storey and two tiers of dormers in steep mansard. Five major bays wide, each of three windows and slightly recessed ends of one and two windows, splayed corners and six window returns.
Ground floor shop windows and doorways altered, articulated by tall engaged Roman Doric columns carrying modified entablature. Upper floors have recessed metal casement windows, the central first floor window of each major bay flanked by engaged Doric columns carrying continuous entablature and alternating triangular and segmental pediments. Fluted plat band at second floor level, modified Greek Doric main cornice; centrepiece surmounted by three light dormers. Roof has bronze edge castings. Cast iron balconies to second floor windows.
