Former single farmhouse with barn, now (1987) three houses. C18 mostly, but
with C17 or earlier origins. Ham stone ashlar; Welsh slate roof between coped
gables, brick chimney stacks. Two storeys: 5 bays then throughway then 3 bays,
irregular fenestration. No 23 (The Barn), a C20 conversion, in 3 bays with
small-pane casements in reconstructed stone surrounds, a long single storey
extension northwards from the north-west corner, and a hipped slate roof: the
original overall form of the farmhouse with barn is maintained. No 25 (East
Street Farmhouse) 3 bays, that to left formerly part of adjoining house; outer
bays 4-light casements with horizontal bar lights, and central 2-light above a
part glazed door in plain raised surround. To the right the throughway, No 25
having a 2-light casement in the return wall. No 27 of 2 bays, to the left a
4-light casement with horizontal bar lights at each level, and to right a single
light above a part-glazed door in plain opening. Interior not inspected, but
reported is a C17 through-passage 3-room plan, with C18 modifications. (VAG

Former single farmhouse with barn, now three houses. C18 mostly but with C17 or earlier origins. Ham stone ashlar:
Welsh slate roof between coped gables; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys; 5 bays, then throughway, then 3 bays
irregular fenestration. No 29 to east, of 3 bays; outer bays have 4-light plain mullioned windows in simple
architraves, with horizontal bar lights; later single-light window to upper bay 2, and below a part glazed boarded door
in plain opening. No 27 of 2 bays; upper bay 1 has a 2-light mullioned window matching No 29, and bay 2 has similar
4-light windows to both levels; lower bay 1 has part glazed door set in plain raised surround; then the throughway,
No 27 having a 2-light window in the side wall. No 25 is a later C20 conversion of the barn, with small-pane casement
windows in reconstructed stone surrounds, with long single-storey extension northwards from north-west corner, with
hipped slate roof; the portion does not alter the original form of a substantial farm complex. Interior not seen, but
reported is a C17 through passage 3-room plan, with C18 modifications. (VAG Report, Unpublished SRO, 1976).
