C16 barn. Timber-frame, black weatherboards, one aisle, one midstrey ridged
and gabled roof clad with corrugated iron. Inside: 6 bays with aisle along
south. Normal assembly in aisle with shores to posts that tenon into aisle -
tiebeams. Double arch-braces east and west of the threshing-bay, queen-post
couples at all bays, with in-pitch bracing to side-purlins. Walls side-girt
with curved wind-braces above the girts and on internal faces. Scarfs bladed,
on or near main posts. Eight studs per bay and 8 rafter couples. Some C19
dates on midstrey posts.
