Pair of houses, now restaurants. Early C18, altered late C20.
Red brick; pantiled roof.
EXTERIOR: one storey and dormer attic, refronted and raised to
2 storeys and dormer attic c1760. Symmetrical elevation.
7-window range, the centre windows on each floor blind. Each
house entered through doorway in penultimate bays right and
left, marked by timber doorcases with hoods on console
brackets. Double-leaf 6-panelled door to No.5, 4-panelled C20
door to No.7. Windows are 6/6 unhorned sashes under segmental
gauged skewback arches. Quoins and moulded eaves cornice.
Gabled roof with 4 flat-topped C20 dormers fitted with 2-light
casements. Internal gable-end stacks to north and south.
Full-length outshut added to rear c1780, with stack. North
gable with roof-line of early C18 house, with brick tumbling.
INTERIOR: No.5: chamfered bridging beams, ground-floor front
opened into one space. No.7: early C19 brick fireplace.
Converted to 2 restaurants late C20.
