Row of 3 houses. Mid C19. Limestone rubble, partly roughcast,
with slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys. The gable walls
are both 4-window ranges: the northern one has C20 casements
with plain reveals. The southern gable has glazing bar sashes,
except for the 3rd window on the 1st floor, which is narrow
and has a fixed light. Below it there is a lean-to glazed
porch. On the ridge there are 4 chimneys. The east wall faces
the railway. The west wall faces Cart Lane and has openings
with plain reveals. Towards the northern end of the wall there
is an attached cast-iron nameplate inscribed 'CART LANE' and,
in smaller letters, 'BRIGGS BARROW 1883'.
