Shop, purpose-built. 1907, extended 1920 and now rebuilt
behind the shopfront. Mock timber with plain tiled roof.
3 storeys and attic, 3 gabled bays, divided 2-1 by brick
pilaster. Recessed shop front, the upper storeys carried on
panelled piers. Egg-and-dart cornice over ground floor. Upper
storeys have mock close studding with rails and ogival arched
braces. 3 canted bays with Shaw windows with lozenges of
stained glass in a Renaissance style to first floor. Dated in
plaster panels above the windows, 1907 and 1920. Plaster
panels bearing coats of arms (Royal and Salop arms) beneath
the windows. Gables overhang above this storey, carried on
massive brackets. Plain wood mullioned windows above, and
casements in gables. Stack to left.
