Horse tram depot and stables, now garage workshops. Dated
1878, with mid and late C20 alterations. Built for the
Sheffield Tramways Company. Red brick with blue and yellow
brick and ashlar dressings and slate and corrugated asbestos
roofs. Plinth, dentilled eaves. Main tram shed, to right, has
shouldered coped facing gable with segmental pointed tram
entrance, and above it, plaques inscribed "Sheffield Tramways
Company". On either side, a segmental pointed blank window. To
left, a single storey office with 2 glazing bar sashes flanked
by single doors, that to left with overlight, that to right
renewed. Beyond, 4 windowless blocks stepped up the slope.
INTERIOR has steel trussed roof with internal brick
buttresses.
