C18, double span house, altered in C19 and later. Rendered. Coped gabled ends with
kneelers, Slate roof and end chimneys. 2½ storeys. 2 dormers, low pediments,
3 windows, 1st floor includes earlier C19 bow window with cornice and glazing
bars. Stone balustrade across 1st floor supported on Tuscan pillars below
forming ground floor portico. Bays at south side. Centre door. Ground floor
windows generally casements. Good cast iron verandah at south side. Interior has
moulded cornices and deep frieze with figures in low relief in hall and south
western ground floor room. Arch across hall and to south west room. Simple
cast iron staircase with ramped handrails and plain balusters.

Nos 21 and 29 form a group with the farmhouse and granary at Burton Farm. No 21
and the farmhouse at Burton Farm are of local interest. __
